Dear Friends,

Your support over the past year has helped the Carter Burden Center to grow and expand in exciting ways.

Through volunteering initiatives, you have helped us to prepare, serve and deliver 25% more meals in 2013 than the year prior and have enabled us to expand food security programs to East Harlem.

In supporting stage one of our renovations at the Carter Burden/ Leonard Covello Senior Program, you have allowed us to offer sewing, painting, music, art, fitness and computer classes that enrich the lives of our seniors every day.

Your support is allowing us to make plans for the move of our social model adult day program to a beautiful new space, featuring soothing lighting and decor on the fourth floor of the Covello Program.

Without your support, we would not be able to invest in our community even further with program-wide volunteer expansion initiatives and plans for a comprehensive community survey to gauge unmet program needs and opportunities.

Throughout all of this expansion, your support has enabled us to continue our essential work in the fields of case management, social work and elder abuse prevention.

One of our responsibilities as an agency is to look at our work and see what can be improved, what needs to be done and how we can better serve our growing and diverse constituency of older adults. Support from donors, volunteers and community partners like you over the past 42 years has allowed us to continue to do that. On behalf of everyone connected to the Carter Burden Center, I thank you.
