Carter Burden Center for the Aging: At A Glance
The organizational mission is to promote the safety and dignity of seniors,
many of whom are moderate to low income, by addressing issues of health,
hunger, education,protection, community, and culture.
The Carter Burden Center for the Aging, Inc. (CBCA) was established in 1971 by
New York City Council Member Carter Burden. It has grown from a one
person organizationto an agency with over 80 employees serving approximately
5,000 seniors per year through 13 programs in 8 locations.
CBCA continues to expand and remains a leader in aging services.
