Social Services

Social Services is a fundamental part of what the Carter Burden Network offers. Our delivery of social services and case management means connecting you to resources by drawing upon our understanding of how benefits work, and how to make them work for you. CBN offers assistance to help address your concerns individually, confidentially and effectively.

Our Social Service Unit helps with issues that include government benefits, landlord/tenant disputes, transitional healthcare and much more. CBN’s Elder Mistreatment & Abuse Prevention Program helps ensure that you can live with the confidence and protection you deserve.

ANDREW FUND

The Carter Burden Network's Andrew Fund was created in 1994 by an anonymous CBN Board Member in honor of her late, beloved Yorkie named Andrew. The Andrew Fund provides assistance to low-income older New Yorkers who need help caring for their pets by offering one-time or short-term assistance with boarding, veterinary bills, food, spaying and neutering, and more.

The Andrew Fund is only available to Carter Burden Network clients.

Please contact Joan Nimmo by phone at 212-879-7400 x310 or by email at nimmoj@carterburdennetwork.org for further information.
